Learning to See

The ability to “see photographically” is fundamental to creating good work. Without it, you’ll only be creating “snapshots”.

Join me, and a bunch of photographers from all over the world, on a 26 week online photography course. The design is simple, there’s 26 fortnightly assignments where you’ll be asked to go shoot photographs that meet a specific brief, you’ll then be asked to submit your work for critique by myself. I will give each student a fully detailed and fully individual written/video critique with instructions where improvement is needed. We shall then meet as a group twice a month for a “live webinar”, lasting an hour or so, to discuss the assignments, your submissions, and for me to give more collective instruction where needed.

You will receive membership to a secret Facebook group designed and used exclusively by Photography 121 School students where the community can meet, discuss assignments, help each other, give feedback, and create lasting friendships with your fellow students over the 26 week program. All webinar’s will be recorded and sent to each student, giving you a valuable library of learning with which you can refer back to when needed.

Throughout the entire 26 weeks you will have access to myself via email, Facebook messenger, and What’s App where I’m happy to answer any questions you may have. So here’s the compositional elements you will master by taking this course.
